Last Long Weekend

This is about 90 minutes or so west of Rocky on the David Thompson Highway.

It's the final long weekend of the Summer of '08. I'm not sure where it went. I bent down to pick something up off the floor in early July and when I stood back up August was nearly over.
I tried to get out for a few drives this summer. I went camping once and did a bit of fishing, but mostly I wondered why the days went so fast when they are so long.

Sigh.. I know the feeling. I could be totally happy with two seasons of summer for every one of winter.. make that three. Lovely photo, Leah.

A bit more summer would be fine with me, Hilary. Echo your sigh.
Glad you like the pic.

I'm with both of you on having more summer!
The Farmer's Almanac came out last week, and the forecast for this area is dire. An early winter and extreme cold in Jan and Feb.
Mexico looks good, doesn't it?

Oh, goody. Just what we need. More winter.

Already! I only just put my plants in! I'm with Hilary and the rest of you, I could use two or three seasons of summer to one of winter.

Reb - Maybe we could work something out with spring and fall?
